As all over the world, so in Hungary have to confront more and more couples in their fertile age, waiting for their baby, with the problem of sterility. The proportion of these couples takes 15-20%. In 40% of the cases is the woman for the infertility liable, in 40% the man, and int he rest (20%) both of them. Formerly the curing of sterility consisted of the work of the gynacologist and of the andrology specialaist. But in the last two decades along new curing principles, on the borderlines of the both overmentioned specialities was evolved the so-called ART, namely assisted reproduction therapy. The aim of ART isn’t only the separated maintenance of the couples, but accepting the existing problems by the help of different technics procreating the pregnancy as soon as possible.
